Label boss for Alphahouse Records and after-hours DJ extraordinaire, Butane (Andrew Rasse) hails from the Midwestern United States, the birthplace of many great techno acts. His monthly party is a ‘must stop’ for touring minimal techno artists, and his upstart record label is commonly regarded as one of the premier labels in the United States. A skilled and “busy” DJ on the decks, Andrew uses Final Scratch to test new tracks, a sampler to scramble up old ones, and years of experience on the dancefloor to move bodies while simultaneously keeping a distinctly heady vibe. From raw, minimal, futuristic dancefloor techno to deep and funky layered afterhours jams, expect a little bit of everything. And please, if you find yourself in a club while he’s on the turntables… buy the man a drink. He most certainly could use it.
