Over the course of time, Niklas Worgt has used his share of project names. His most well known would have to be Dapayk. Since 1993 Niklas has crafted
his own tracks. Cuts with Drum&Bass and Breakbeat sport the same difference as Pumpin’ Techno and Techhouse. As the Drum&Bass live act “Frauds in White” he started to make a name for himself on the barely developed breakbeat scene of middle Germany in the mid-90’s. As “Sonstware” he held residence at parties and stepped into the late 90’s as Dapayk. There were a few years however between then and 2001 when he released his first record. From that release, the headline was basically taken as the cornerstone for his various projects in the labelname Mo’s Ferry Productions. In Cooperation with Eva Padberg there came the project
Dapayk&Padberg. After the first single was released in 2005, a first album was released reaching the years top10 charts of the magazines Groove, De-
bug and Raveline as well as bringing Niklas a Top10 spot in the producer Charts. His sound can be characterized as “Prickling” (Frickel) displays the art
of balancing electronics music’s Minimal, Electronica and Breakbeat froms.
Together with his school mate Jan Langhammer he founded Mo’s ferry daughter labels “Fenou” and “Rrygular” as the playground for electronica and minimal techno respectively. In addition to his work as Dapayk, Niklas released since the beginning of 2006 techno tracks as “Marek Bois” on Trapez and Rrygular. In 2006 Dapayk’s first solo album was released. He entered again the top10 of the poll charts of German techno magazin “Groove” as best producer, live act and with the album itself.
Dapayk has released on labels such as Karloff, Textone, Orac, Contexterrior, Trapez, Resopal, Friends of Tomorrow, Mo’s Ferry Prod., Fenou and Rrygular.
Dapayk & Padberg are Niklas Worgt and Eva Padberg. Since 1993 Niklas is a producer and released tracks under different names (see dapayk for more infos) on his label Mo`s Ferry Prod.. Since 2000 he only uses the name Dapayk.
In 2003 model Eva Padberg, who has been doing some of the graphic design for previous releases since the middle of the 90’s, started to live out her musical creativity with the project Dapayk & Padberg .
The work on their label and her career as a model takes a lot of her time by traveling between her flats in New York and Berlin.
The music of Dapayk & Padberg contains Eva`s ideas of sounds and once narrative, once melodic lyrics and the creativity of Niklas` musical roots.
