Nils Penner and John Muder are producing are Demo. Just 4 Fun. More or Less. Suddenly Moodmusic is interested and signs two tracks. “Are You Lost” is going to be the first 12″ release for the guys. The way it goes. The sympathetic Label-Owner Sasse, originally from Finland, now settled in Berlin, has built up this Quality- Island in the constantly growing Electro-Label-Jungle since 1996. It is such a wonderful address that, if you were a musician sweating in the studio for years, you could get a little gag reflex. Just hypothetical. Big Time. What a Kick-Off.
The next and biggest step yet was the licensing of “Millenium Falcon” (B-Side to “Are You Lost”), to Oliver Huntemanns Confused Recordings for his latest Mix Compilation „Play 02! Live at Rex / Paris“. The Maestro himself picked the track. The Mix was released on CD in May 2008. Two new tracks in collaboration with Chopstick&Johnjon will be released on Absurd Recordings from LA, later this year.
Enough released so far. Back to the Studio. Now the guys think they should work on an album. “Guys, didn’t anyone tell that you should have released 3-15 12″s and have mixed at least 15 compilations before even start thinking about making an album?”. “No?!” Sasse is sure. These two can do it. Their sound is fresh, true and honest with the right amount of midnight-drive. So they take it relaxed, always deep but for sure: an album is next.
Oh, one other thing. Besides doing all that they prepared a one hour live set, which received its well respected premiere on the 23rd of august at Panorama Bar Berlin. Big Time again.
