Oliver started producing his first songs in the 80`s with a Commodore 64. At the age of 13 he took guitar and piano lessons. In the early 90`s his music influences and background were mainly coming from breakdance and hiphop music. After graduating he started a music course at the Berlin Humboldt university where he is still studying. Occasionally he is sound designing films for the University of arts in Berlin. Oliver is a workaholic and all he does all day is making or working on music.
Called What We Did & What We Do, the mix will collect—as these things do—the past, present, and future of the label’’s output. Koletzki tackles the present and future of the label with tracks from fresh faces like Animaltrainer, resident DJ’’s at Zurich’’s Hive Club, as well as Mickey Monzza & Joseph Disco, who offer up one of the mix’’s highlights with “Lonely.” Meindl takes a historical approach on the second disc, showcasing what the label has accomplished in the past three years. It’’s minimal, of course, but it’’s all different shades of the genre, from H.O.S.H.’’s anthemic work to Channel X’’s more old-school house-influenced sound.
